What a sleep tracker is

“A sleep diary is a record of an individual's sleeping and waking times with related information, usually over a period of several weeks.”

When to use a sleep tracker

  • Sleep

Write when the lights went out and when you woke, and it works out your average hours.

  • Routines

A week of bedtimes shows how a late night, like Thursday's, changes the next day.

  • Appointments

Take a few weeks of it with you if someone asks how you have been sleeping.
